Monaith terms of service
These terms describe what Monaith is, what it is not, how read-only data connections work, your responsibilities, and the limits of our liability. Read them together with the Privacy Policy.

See the Privacy Policy.
What Monaith is and is not
- Monaith is not a bank, broker-dealer, payment processor, money transmitter, lender, or bank account provider.
- Monaith does not move money. We never initiate transfers, ACH, card payments, or wire payments.
- Monaith is not a financial advisor, accountant, attorney, tax preparer, or credit counselor.
- Monaith does not provide financial, legal, tax, accounting, credit, investment, or other professional advice.
- Monaith provides software for financial alignment, including dashboards, briefings, goals, Talk Mode, and related decision-support features. Outputs are informational only.
- You remain solely responsible for financial and other decisions you make.
Plaid and read-only data
- Bank credentials are handled by Plaid or a similar third-party provider, not by Monaith. We never see or store your bank password.
- Monaith reads financial account and transaction data through Plaid (or similar providers) to power features you use, including dashboard, briefings, goals, Talk Mode, and related product features.
- Plaid and your financial institution have their own terms. You can use demo mode to explore Monaith without connecting your own bank.
You will be asked to give explicit consent before Monaith uses Plaid to access your read-only financial data. You can withdraw consent at any time by disconnecting or deleting your data in account settings.
Your controls
- Disconnect a bank account at any time from Account → Settings → Privacy and data controls.
- Delete Plaid-derived financial data from the same panel. This removes connected financial data but keeps your account and goals.
- Delete your Monaith account from the same panel. This removes your shared account and is broader than deleting financial data alone.
Acceptable use
- Do not misuse the service, including attempting unauthorized access, interfering with other users, scraping or reverse engineering beyond permitted use, submitting false information, or using Monaith in violation of law.
- Do not rely on Monaith as a substitute for professional advice or for executing payments or account changes at your bank.
Changes, access, and account status
- Monaith may change, suspend, limit, or discontinue features at any time as the product evolves.
- Some capabilities (such as connecting a real bank) may be limited by product access controls while we roll out access. That is operational gating, not a substitute for the responsibilities described in these terms.
- We may restrict, suspend, or terminate accounts for misuse, risk, legal compliance, security incidents, or operational reasons.
Disclaimers and limitation of liability
- Monaith is provided as is and as available, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.
- We do not guarantee accuracy, completeness, savings, outcomes, performance, availability, suitability, or that the product will meet your needs.
- To the fullest extent permitted by law, Monaith and its affiliates are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits or data, arising from your use of the product.
- Where liability cannot be excluded, our total liability for claims relating to the service is limited to the greater of amounts you paid us for the service in the twelve months before the claim or one hundred U.S. dollars.
